WebX 2026 is Asia's flagship Web3 and blockchain conference, organized and hosted by Japan's largest crypto media, CoinPost.

As the Japanese House of Representatives passes an amendment to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, officially designating crypto assets as “financial instruments,” and plans to significantly reduce the income tax rate on eligible crypto trading from a maximum of 55% to about 20% with separate taxation, Asia's flagship Web3 conference WebX 2026 will hold a grand announcement in Tokyo of a new round of global speakers and sponsors.

This year’s highlight is the substantial participation of traditional financial institutions, with global top institutions such as Mastercard, Fidelity International, Franklin Templeton, Swift, and SBI Holdings becoming major sponsors or sending executives to speak, indicating that capital from traditional financial institutions is rapidly embracing the Asian Web3 market. The conference will be held at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo on July 13-14, 2026.

This series of reforms is accelerating Japan's crypto asset ecosystem transition to investment-grade financial assets, significantly enhancing regulatory certainty and the ease of institutional participation, providing a geographically proximate, policy-friendly, and tax-optimized important window for investors in Asia, especially China. Japan is becoming a regional innovation hub for digital assets with clear rules and tax benefits.

The agenda highlights, set against the backdrop of accelerating institutional adoption and rapidly evolving regulatory environments, will focus on the next phase of development in the digital asset industry over two days, including stablecoin applications, AI, tokenization, and the evolution of regulatory frameworks.

Agenda Highlights

Special keynote speech by Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, and panel discussions on “Asia's Crypto Powerhouses: Policies, Liquidity, and Trust Driving Strong Growth” and “Stablecoins in Action: Reshaping Retail Payments in the Asia-Pacific.”
