I believe that in order to solve certain problems, the most important thing is not to just do what others do on the surface, but to first understand the underlying logic, how the brain functions, and why we behave the way we do.
Especially in our modern society, it is easy to become addicted to certain things, and quitting is very difficult. Why? When we know that we have a brain adapted for scarcity but we live in a world of limitless rewards, the reasons become clear.
So we certainly do not need to turn away from happiness, nor should we aim to eliminate happiness, but we must be cautious of those cheap, quick pleasures that gradually rob us of our ability to experience ordinary life.
