Kai Fund Control's digital asset financial innovation takes a significant step forward. Following the successful launch of virtual asset custody trial business by its subsidiary KGI Bank in February this year, it announced on the 1st that, in cooperation with the next-generation real-world asset (RWA) token exchange DigiFT through its Hong Kong subsidiary KGI Asia, DigiFT will issue the world’s first RWA token linked to the Taiwan Stock Exchange ETF, "kTW50" (the underlying reference is KGI Taiwan TOP50 ETF). This groundbreaking initiative not only significantly enhances the visibility of Taiwan's stock market in the digital asset field but also highlights Kai Fund Control's leading position in digital asset financial innovation in the industry.
This year, the Taiwan Stock Exchange broke through a new high of 48,218 points, with the total market value rising to the fifth largest stock market in the world. Among them, ETFs focused on investing in Taiwan's stocks (excluding leveraged and inverse ETFs) are key drivers; as of August 28, not only has the number of beneficiaries exceeded 17 million, but the overall scale has also surpassed NT$7 trillion, reflecting that Taiwan's investment strategic position has overflowed from the AI industry's supply chain to the capital market. Kai Fund Control believes that Taiwan is undergoing a structural transformation from "Technology Island to Capital Island," and the AI dividend will be the focus of capital pursuit in the next decade. It hopes that the "kTW50" token can act as a pioneer for the tokenization of Taiwan's stocks, attracting the attention of on-chain Web 3.0 investors, thereby driving more on-chain capital influx into the Taiwan market.
Kai Fund Control's Senior Vice President, Xu Weiming, stated that Taiwan, as a global AI core hub, possesses world-leading strength in areas such as semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and AI infrastructure. The KGI Taiwan TOP50 ETF (009816) gathers Taiwan's most influential quality enterprises, providing investors with a unique channel to participate in the long-term growth opportunities of the AI revolution. Kai Fund Control continues to expand its layout in the Web 3.0 ecosystem, aiming to become an important bridge between traditional finance and tokenized finance. It also believes that asset tokenization has the potential to fundamentally change the operation of global capital markets by improving accessibility, efficiency, and transparency. Xu Weiming said, "We are pleased to collaborate with DigiFT to launch the 'kTW50' token, providing overseas qualified investors with a new on-chain investment target. We believe this is an important step in shaping the future of financial development and will accelerate the integration of traditional financial systems with the digital asset ecosystem."
DigiFT's founder and CEO Zhang Zhihua pointed out that every mature market is built on three pillars: cash, income, and growth. On-chain finance has had the first two for many years, and kTW50 fills in the third piece of the puzzle: providing a compliant and regulated growth-type asset allocation, alongside existing cash and income-type instruments. This is precisely the long-standing construction method of institutional investment portfolios and will become the development model for future on-chain investment portfolios.
As a leading player in the digital asset financial innovation industry, Kai Fund Control will continue to focus on emerging trends such as Web 3.0 and digital assets, accelerating the connection between traditional finance and the digital ecosystem, and creating new financial values across eras for global investors.
