About GWDC · Hackathon
As a core part of the conference, GWDC 2026 KOREA · Hackathon, upholding the geek spirit of "For Builders, By Builders," has officially opened project recruitment to global Builders.
This year's hackathon will focus on up to 5 ecological public chains, with a total prize pool exceeding $100,000 USD. So far, this hackathon has received support from TRON and partnered with global top cloud service provider Microsoft to provide powerful computing and cloud resources to empower participating teams in development, testing, and deployment. Project recruitment remains open, and all teams at various stages are warmly invited to participate.
Additionally, this hackathon will set up a 48-hour offline finals in Seoul. All teams can go to Seoul to compete on-site, engage deeply with global developers, top investors, and industry leaders in extreme development and optimization, and witness the announcement of the award winners on-site, unlocking more opportunities for ecological cooperation and brand exposure.

2. Hackathon Schedule: 48-Hour Extreme Challenge
This hackathon is divided into online registration and offline on-site development and finals, with all times in Korean Standard Time (KST). Please pay attention to the relevant time points in advance:

Public chain ecological and technical leaders will introduce projects, share technologies, and discuss ecological tasks

Innovation Stage project presentation & award ceremony
Judging and Project Presentation
This hackathon will invite CXOs, technical and ecological leaders from participating public chains, and top industry VCs to serve as judges and evaluate projects on-site. Outstanding teams will receive the Innovation Stage on-site presentation opportunity and have the chance to engage deeply with industry investment institutions and ecological partners to expand subsequent investment and ecological cooperation opportunities.
3. Participation Rights and Ecological Support
· $50K USD cash prize + $50K USD ecological resource support
Winning projects can receive up to $50,000 USD cash prize and ecological resource support valued at $50,000 USD.
· Microsoft Azure Credits Support
Eligible projects can receive Microsoft free cloud service credits for up to 6 months, providing cloud resource support for project development, testing, and deployment.
· Web3Labs Global Acceleration Opportunities
Winning projects will have priority in entering the Web3Labs 2026 Global Acceleration Program and incubation project reserve, gaining opportunities for subsequent project development and ecological support.
· Industry Resources and Investment Connections
Engage with industry veterans, leading companies, and top VCs to expand investment, ecological cooperation, and industry resources.
· Global Media and Market Exposure
Winning projects will receive ongoing media coverage and market promotion support, improving project visibility and industry influence through global media and community channels.
4. GWDC 2026 KOREA Hackathon Participation Requirements
· GitHub Open Source Code Repository: Participating projects must submit publicly accessible GitHub code repositories.
· Demo Video: A project demo video must be submitted, with a duration not exceeding 3 minutes.
· Pitch Deck: Submit a complete project introduction and pitch deck.
· On-Site Presentation: Teams that reach the finals must present their projects on the Innovation Stage.
· Team Size: Each participating team can have a maximum of 5 people.
Participating teams can choose to participate online or go to Seoul for the on-site segment based on their situation. Final project submissions must include all materials mentioned and be submitted according to the event schedule.
