The recruitment requirements are also quite high, requiring over 10 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or financial regulation, as well as familiarity with digital assets, securities, derivatives, and trading operations.

This indicates that Aster needs someone who can determine compliance pathways in the U.S., communicate directly with regulatory agencies, and translate regulatory requirements into products and business solutions.

This sign is quite interesting, after all, DEX compliance has not yet begun, and Aster's perpetual contracts will also involve the CFTC. Crypto asset perpetual contracts mainly fall under commodity derivatives regulation, while stock-related perpetual contracts may simultaneously fall under the SEC's regulation of securities and security swaps, so this position must be familiar with the SEC, CFTC, and congressional legislation.

He previously served as the Director of the SEC's Office of Legislative and Government Affairs, was the Chief Policy Advisor to a CFTC Commissioner, and the General Counsel to a U.S. Senator. He is currently a Senior Advisor at Paradigm, covering basically all the requirements in the job listing.

Another quite suitable person is Rebecca Rettig. She has been responsible for legal and policy work at Aave, Polygon, and Jito Labs, and is very familiar with DEX front ends, the responsibilities of protocol developers, and how DeFi products adapt to U.S. regulations.

There is also former CFTC Commissioner Summer Mersinger and former CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham. Both are very familiar with U.S. derivatives regulation and government relations, but they currently serve as the CEO of the Blockchain Association and the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer of MoonPay, so the difficulty of hiring them should not be low.

Jake Chervinsky's experience is also very suitable, but he is currently in charge of the Hyperliquid Policy Center. Considering the competitive relationship between Hyperliquid and Aster, poaching is not out of the question.

Of course, if the final hire is a former SEC or CFTC official, it indicates that Aster's focus is more on licensing and U.S. market entry; if a DeFi legal and policy expert is found, the focus may be on front-end exemptions, product control, and protocol structure.
