I don't know if you've seen it, but recently the term "thin muscle" has been appearing in front of me repeatedly, feeling like a new internet buzzword is rising.
So what exactly is thin muscle?
I checked!
Basically, thin muscle = having muscle, but not too "big"; relatively low body fat, muscle lines can be seen, and overall still tends to be slim.
I think a simple understanding is that it looks slim in clothes, and has muscle when undressed, and is in stark contrast to the previous style of bodybuilding where big muscles look a bit scary.
Essentially, it's a new era body aesthetic label: moderate muscle mass + low body fat + good body proportions. For example, a typical visual effect for men is: shoulders have a bit of width, chest muscles have definition, arms have lines, a slim waist, and abs are slightly or even clearly visible, but when you wear a T-shirt, people won’t think “this person is a bodybuilding giant.”
I feel this is a great concept, healthier, and more sexually appealing, also representing a shift in the aesthetic of new young people. So you see, everyone's aesthetic changes just like investment trends, doesn’t it seem like it changes every once in a while?
