Recently, I also paid attention to the paper published in Nature in September 2026. If this hypothesis is ultimately validated in humans,

it would indeed be a very significant development.

The human body's functions are a very complex machine; cardiovascular protection, kidney protection, liver improvement, blood sugar improvement, inflammation reduction, cognitive improvement—these are not independent topics, but work systemically.

GLP-1, to some extent, changes "the speed of aging itself," which should benefit the system rather than just being useful for a particular organ. Eating less may be a key factor, but it is not the only factor.

Therefore, I do not agree that merely eating less can greatly extend lifespan. I have previously read a paper that suggested eating less is certainly beneficial for modern individuals, but everyone's health status is different, and it cannot be judged by a single factor.

Below are some main arguments from the paper that I have recorded:

In addition to reduced food intake, the decrease in fat reduces the burden on organs and lowers metabolic load. Semaglutide can also improve glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, while lowering IGF-1 and affecting the classic longevity pathway of insulin–IGF-1 → FOXO.

Moreover, semaglutide reduces inflammatory cytokines, highly expresses IL-6 in macrophages, and promotes inflammatory monocytes, while also lowering cellular aging markers such as p16 and p21, and improving mitochondrial and cellular repair systems.

So, if we visualize this as a logical chain, it might be:

GLP-1 activation

→ Appetite reduction / Metabolism improvement

→ Decreased fat and insulin burdens

→ NAD+↑ / SIRT↑ / IGF-1↓ / FOXO pathway changes

→ Inflammation↓ / Cellular aging↓ / Mitochondrial function↑ / Stem cell function↑

→ Multiple organs age more slowly

→ Healthspan ↑ → Lifespan ↑

This is much more complex than simply being long-lived due to weight loss or eating less.

Therefore, regardless of whether the AI + BIO reaches a critical point without narrative amplification, GLP-1 may begin to transition from treating diseases to intervening in the aging process itself, which I think could be of great significance to humanity.
