The advancements in AI have started to cause significant anxiety among professionals in various industries, pushing people to use AI and engage with AI.

The most direct measure of using and engaging with AI is the amount of tokens used. Generally, users pay monthly or through customized plans to use tokens directly.

I saw a statement online: "If you don't use up your tokens, you are the first person to be eliminated."

This statement specifically points out the state of some users: the tokens they paid for remain unused within the customized time frame.

For such users, this statement "determines" decisively that they will be the first to be eliminated, directly heightening feelings of anxiety and urgency.

However, if one does not clarify certain issues and is simply carried away by such emotions, that would truly lead to missing the opportunities that the AI era brings to every ordinary person, resulting in elimination by the times.

What issues should be clarified?

Clarify whether AI is making us a more efficient tool or a treasure that helps us turn the tables.

Let’s take a simple example for better understanding:

In the long agricultural era, due to backward and stagnant technology, oxen served as tools for plowing fields in most agricultural countries most of the time. They endured beatings and lashings from farmers daily, yearning to be squeezed dry of their last ounce of strength, ultimately exhausted to death.

But entering modern society, especially in the post-industrial and information age, technology has become extremely advanced and continues to evolve rapidly. At this point, oxen in many countries are no longer tools for plowing fields; they no longer suffer beatings and lashings from farmers. Instead, they "enjoy" an enviable treatment that their ancestors could not dream of—living in temperature-controlled farms, eating specialized feed, and even in some countries (like Japan), they listen to beautiful music while freely strolling in spacious, open areas, leisurely sunbathing.

This illustrates the drastic changes in the status of oxen brought about by technological advancement and the development of civilization.

But has this change altered the essential status of oxen?

Not at all.

The status of these oxen "enjoying" the high treatment remains the same as that of their ancestors: still tools that are enslaved and used.

They are merely enslaved and used in a "higher" manner, transformed into delicacies on the human dinner table, unlike their ancestors who were worked to death as tools.

It is the same for humans—since the industrial revolution, humanity has undergone one technological revolution after another, but regardless of how remarkable or shocking the revolutions are, the majority of people only see changes in treatment, becoming more efficient tools, while social classes and statuses remain unchanged.

Therefore, when faced with any high technology (including AI) that is expected to disrupt the world and change society, we should seriously contemplate:

In facing the changes brought about by this technology, am I the "ox" whose treatment has improved due to technology but still remains a tool that is used and enslaved, or can I leverage technology to rise from being an "ox" to becoming the master of my own destiny?

If we only remain as the "ox" whose treatment has improved due to technology, then we have squandered the opportunities that technology has provided us.

Only by thoughtfully considering how to use technology to transform ourselves from "oxen" into masters should be the primary focus when confronting the panic and anxiety toward technology.

Returning to the initial statement, what I want to express is:

The question of whether tokens are fully utilized is not the key to determining who will be eliminated.

How to use tokens is the key determinant of who will be eliminated, or rather, once we understand the purpose and power of tokens, have we thought about how exactly to use these tokens?

Should we use them to become more efficient and work more smoothly as "oxen," or should we use them to become masters?

It can be stated with certainty:

If we do not contemplate how to use tokens, the vast majority of those who use up their tokens will still be "oxen" in the future, just higher-paid, better-treated "oxen."

It can also be stated with certainty that many currently seemingly "outdated" elites may not use a single token in the next ten or twenty years and might even not utilize the simplest AI tools, yet they might still be "masters" over many people, just that the tools they will use then will be ones that leverage tokens and work more efficiently.

Therefore, I will not only focus on AI itself or how to efficiently use various AI tools, but will spend more time thinking about how to use it to change my own circumstances, class, and status.
