Singapore happens to hold 2049 during the eleven holidays. My partner and I decided this year, basically clashing with the children's holiday, to prioritize activities for the industry meeting. We will always prioritize the kids.

If the children are unwilling to join, we will respect their opinions and go to places they like.

So this time, we probably won't be attending 2049.

Thank you very much to many friends for the invites. I also miss gathering with you and look forward to the next opportunity to meet again!

This year, the boarding school chosen by the children usually means they are not home, so we only have weekends and holidays to accompany them, making the time spent together even more precious!

This is generally the reason why you can't reach me on weekends; I mainly accompany them during that time.

Family companionship is also a very important topic, perhaps the most important, related to inner happiness and peace.

I also believe that people who are peacefully happy are more capable of making good investments, because without resentment, impatience, and anxiety, you will have more confidence and luck.

Moreover, I have started to realize that children grow up quickly. The years when they truly need you and genuinely want to spend time with you are actually very short.

The companionship I understand is about prioritizing, willing to rearrange your time and event priorities to go to the places they want to visit and listen to what they want to share.

In a few years, they will have their own friends, interests, and even their own world, and they may not even want your company.

So now I feel that there is no need to rush many things. Money can be earned later, activities can be attended next time, and opportunities to meet people will not be limited to just once.

But these weekends and holidays with the kids in these few years, once they pass, will really not come back.

The truly important things in life may not be many.
