Abstract

MOA Protocol and World Liberty Financial announced plans to expand their collaboration in real-world financial services such as asset management and payments, with USD1 as the core focus.
MOA Protocol stated that its goal is to integrate holding, earning, transferring, and spending around the USD1 stablecoin into a single process, and to build a financial environment driven by AI agents.
World Liberty Financial expressed plans to extend the use of USD1 from transactions to remittances and cross-border payments, while seeking business opportunities in the South Korean market.

MOA Protocol and World Liberty Financial jointly held the “My Own Access: The Future of Borderless Wealth & Lifestyle” event at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in the Yongsan District of Seoul on October 1, signing a strategic memorandum of understanding. About 200 people attended, including founders, investors, institutional representatives, and global blockchain industry participants. The two companies stated their intention to apply the USD1 stablecoin in real-world financial services such as asset management and payments, and to expand their collaboration to AI agent payments and cross-border settlements.

Bridging fragmented finance, linking USD1 to MOA Card

MOA Protocol CEO Stefan Piech stated in his welcome speech that traditional finance and the digital asset ecosystem remain disconnected and outlined plans to build a financial ecosystem connecting the two. “There is still a lot of fragmentation between the current financial system and the digital asset ecosystem,” Piech said. “We want to connect assets that reside on crypto exchanges or chains to everyday uses such as earning and payments.” As an example of collaboration, he introduced the MOA Card, which can load USD1 for payments. World Liberty Financial Chief Business Officer Ryan Ballantyne stated that broader adoption of stablecoins in the real world requires combining distribution networks with actual services. “Simply expanding USD1 liquidity and exchange access is not enough,” Ballantyne said. Users need to be able to truly utilize the services of stablecoins, and collaboration with MOA Protocol should help broaden those use cases.

MOA Protocol claims it will connect holding, earning, and payments, advancing AI agent finance

MOA Protocol COO Leo stated during the first keynote that the use of stablecoins is still fragmented across various services and networks, and the company aims to connect the process into a single financial flow. “MOA Protocol aims to integrate the holding, earning, transferring, and spending phases of stablecoin usage,” Leo said. “The core is to make it easier for stablecoins to connect across multiple blockchains to earning products and payment services.” MOA Protocol also plans to build a financial environment where AI agents manage funds and make payments based on user-defined conditions. Leo mentioned that the company is developing infrastructure to enable AI agents to manage funds under preset rules (such as spending limits and approval conditions) and execute payments when needed.

World Liberty states USD1 will expand from transactions to remittances and payments, signaling an entry into South Korea

In the subsequent keynote, World Liberty Financial Senior Vice President and Head of Exchange Partnerships Jeffrey Ma stated that the use of stablecoins would expand from transactions to remittances and payments. “Stablecoins are becoming the currency of the digital economy, with some predictions suggesting that the future market size could reach $2 trillion,” Ma said. “Stablecoin usage is currently concentrated in exchanges, but it will extend to remittances and cross-border payments.” He also indicated that through collaboration with MOA Protocol, the company plans to broaden its touchpoints with South Korean users and seek more business opportunities in the country. World Liberty Financial is focusing on USD1, expanding into lending, AI agent payments, and real-world asset tokenization. Ma also introduced the cross-border settlement project WorldSwap, stating that the company is preparing infrastructure to support settlements using USD1 across different currencies. “We believe USD1 is not just a currency, but the infrastructure for the flow of funds,” Ma stated, adding that the company aims to build financial infrastructure connecting the digital economy with global financial markets.
