ZK digital identity project Holonym acquires Gitcoin Passport for $10 million

On February 10th, according to Cointelegraph, the ZK digital identity project Holonym Foundation has expanded its network by acquiring the authentication platform Gitcoin Passport. Holonym has acquired Gitcoin Passport for $10 million to expand its decentralized identity (DID) tool as part of its Human.tech suite. The acquisition will be completed by the end of 2024, combining Gitcoin Passport's "human proof" system with Holonym's "human network", which utilizes ZK technology to achieve privacy focused on on on chain reputation.
