Bloomberg launches Bitcoin and Gold Hybrid Index, expanding investment channels for emerging asset classes

According to PRNewswire, Bloomberg announced the launch of the Bitcoin Gold Hybrid Index, which is one of the first multi asset indices to combine commodities and digital assets. The new indices include Bloomberg Bitcoin and Gold Weighted Index (BBIG) and Bloomberg Dollar, Bitcoin and Gold Weighted Index (BBUG). The BBUG index combines the defensive properties of the US dollar with the long-term uncorrelated characteristics of Bitcoin and gold, providing investors with the possibility of long-term positive returns. It is expected that more mixed indices of commodities and digital assets will be launched in the future.
