The authorities are the so-called self referential layer, and the bystanders are the so-called emergent layer. Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin contains both "authorities" and bystanders, namely miners who invest real-world computing power in the self referential layer, and Bitcoin in the mechanical world of the emergent layer. The self referential layer and the emergent layer complete a perfect and seamless self referential breakthrough. Similar to Zeno's turtle jumping out of an infinite recursive cycle and emerging into the real world, the infinite distance recursion of the turtle and rabbit racing is the imaginary world of thought, while the rabbit catching up with the turtle and surpassing the turtle is the real world.
