Texas introduces another Bitcoin Reserve Act, allowing the Treasury Secretary to invest up to $250 million in cryptocurrency

According to Golden Finance, Texas has introduced another Bitcoin Reserve Act (HB 4258), which allows the Treasurer General (Compeller) to invest up to $250 million of the Economic Stability Fund balance in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, and allows local governments (such as municipalities or counties) to invest up to $10 million of their funds in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. The bill will come into effect on September 1, 2025.
