Here's the thing: North Korea tried to hack us. 🇰🇵 This exact scam scenario unfolded: 1. They pretended to be Dunamu, Upbit's parent company 2. Expressed strong interest to invest xy million $ 3. Set telegram groups and did calls with our team 4. They convinced our team to invite me in the call 5. As I joined, I immediately noticed some very fishy behavior; "one person not hearing me" while all the others connected hearing and speaking normally, NPC like movement, using a fake type of zoom software, prompt notification request from "zoom" to "install" some "audio drivers" 6. Funny enough, clicked the link, just to see what commands it tries to perform 7. Noticed some strange website opening, but more curious, attempting a shell command injection in the background Long story short, I left the call convinced this was 100% a scam/hack attempt. With great progress, the next period will also bring some unbelievably persuasive and bewildering scams. Be very careful, stay safe.
