BREAKING: The share of NYSE stocks trading above their 200-day moving average has dropped to 41%, the lowest since November 2023. This percentage has dropped ~20 points over the last few weeks. At the same time, the share of the S&P 500 stocks above their 200-day moving average fell to 52%, near the lowest since November 2023. As a result, the S&P 500 index declined below its 200-day average for the first time since October 2023. The market selloff has been broad-based.
