Crypto celebrity 'TJ Stone' sentenced to 45 months in prison and fined over $1.3 million for fraud

BlockBeats News: On March 15th, a US federal court ruled on Friday that Brooklyn podcast host and cryptocurrency celebrity Thomas John Sfraga ("TJ Stone") was sentenced to 45 months in prison and fined $1337700 for telecom fraud. The Ministry of Justice announcement shows that Sfraga deceived investors by approximately $2 million between 2016 and 2022 through cryptocurrency and real estate investment scams. He also promised an investor that his fake cryptocurrency wallet project could provide a 60% return within three months, but later misappropriated funds to fill old debts and personal expenses. In addition, he also falsely claimed to run multiple businesses.
