He was just getting back from the Shanghai Conference & told me that he had caught cross conversations of Coinbase team members discussing building projects on Base & then filling them in with their own devs or inside members. At the time I didn’t really know what to think about it. It sounds predatory(bc it is) but at the time I assumed maybe that was just a key strategy to held build and maintain a large project, in a way similar to some of the presale meta we have seen as of late, However, after seeing how projects like TOSHI play out, it really makes it hard to ignore that the extraction being had rn is INSANELY predatory. .
