@UMAprotocol (Ethereum Ecological Prophet) has been undergoing project transformation since 2021, and it has been relatively successful with good business data. The protocol ecosystem has been deployed, but there have been no significant improvements in security. UMA is mainly used as an application token and governance for networks, providing economic support for the DVM mechanism designed for UMA. Holders can pledge tokens and participate in voting to provide final decisions for UMA's Optimistic oracle, while also receiving additional UMA as rewards. Overall, there is a relatively positive interaction between the token itself and the project. The dividends of project development can be incentivized to UMA holders, who can deeply participate in the operation of the project. The design of token economics itself is excellent. The problem is that after the transformation, although the DVM mechanism has been modified and a token staking module has been added, the old policy of collecting collateral fees from external projects to support token repurchases is non-existent, and the security of the protocol itself cannot be sufficiently guaranteed. Follow up can be conducted to observe whether the project has made in-depth adjustments to the economic model and reduced related risks.
