The construction of intelligent encryption systems can draw inspiration from Satoshi Nakamoto's design philosophy, especially his skill of "self-examination". Autonomy is the key to intelligence and can be divided into two types: passive autonomy, such as the formal consensus of blockchain platforms, which provides a deterministic tool; And active autonomy, such as Bitcoin miners autonomously calculating nonce, and GPT large model neural networks autonomously updating weights. Proactive autonomy is the fundamental basis for generating intelligence. As Hinton said, machines iterate through self-examination without human intervention, and their calculation process cannot be formally reproduced. The Bitcoin system does not care about the calculation method of nonce, and neural networks do not need to explain every step of weight adjustment. The important thing is that the process of self-examination is a way to enhance wisdom, but the process itself does not need to be presented synchronously, only the results of self-examination need to be provided and presented in descriptive language. This is like Socrates' "self-examination", which is an effective means of generating wisdom. Both company management and the design of smart cryptocurrencies can draw on this logic. The core of an intelligent system lies in its proactive and self examining ability, rather than in the transparency of its operational process.
