A government agency coming out affirmatively and stating how it LACKS jurisdiction over certain entities or activities!! HOW REFRESHING IS THAT? Normally, an agency would avoid making these types of announcements because, as we know, in the past, federal regulators prefer things to be vague and opaque in order to have maximum prosecutorial discretion. The @SECGov @HesterPeirce and Acting Chair Mark Udeya are taking the necessary steps to try and rebuild the SEC’s very damaged reputation. 👏
