According to the announcement of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), its crypto task force held its first "Spring Crypto Regulatory Sprint" series roundtable meeting at 13:00 Eastern Time on March 21 at its headquarters in Washington, with the theme of "How we got to this point and how we will get out of the predicament - defining securities attributes". The meeting will be live streamed to the public through the SEC official website. The meeting focused on discussing whether encrypted assets constitute securities and clarifying regulatory pathways. The attending guests include major law firms and institutional general advisors such as a16z, Delphi Ventures, Cooley, and BakerHostetler, covering academia, regulators, venture capital, and policy advocates. Former SEC commissioner Troy Paredes serves as the moderator.
