EU plans to crack down on US service exports, targeting large technology companies

BlockBeats News: On March 28th, according to the Financial Times, the European Union is considering cracking down on US service exports, including the business of large tech companies, in retaliation for Trump's 25% tariffs on the automotive industry, and has promised to take further measures next week. An EU diplomat said: "The Americans believe that they are the party with upgrade advantages (in the trade war), but we also have the ability to do so." He added that the ultimate goal is to ease tensions through a comprehensive trade agreement. Counterattack may include restricting the intellectual property of large technology companies. Another example is the ban on Musk's Starlink satellite network winning government contracts. Italy is already reconsidering whether to purchase the system. (Golden Ten)
