According to a report by Golden Finance, after receiving a cease and desist order prohibiting it from providing sports related contracts in Nevada and New Jersey, Kalshi has sued the gambling regulatory agencies in Nevada and New Jersey. Known as an exchange regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, it is exclusively regulated by the federal government, with the Commodity Exchange Act taking precedence over state laws.
