Metis Dual Chain Strategy: Based on Metis SDK, Andromeda and Hyperion will reshape Layer 2 infrastructure

Odaily Planet Daily News: In February of this year, Metis launched Metis SDK and announced that it will launch a high-performance chain Hyperion for AI native applications based on Metis SDK. Metis has made further strategic announcements regarding its dual chain strategy. Metis aims to provide scalable high-performance solutions for the entire blockchain ecosystem based on Metis SDK. By integrating the AI dedicated layer Hyperion (HYPE) with the base layer Andromeda, a complementary Layer2 ecosystem is constructed. Andromeda, as the first step towards building a scalable decentralized infrastructure for Metis, has implemented a complete decentralized sorter node architecture, utilizing Optimal Rollup technology and focusing on general scenarios such as DeFi and enterprise applications to ensure security and decentralization. Hyperion is based on Metis SDK and is powered by Metis VM Composed of MetisDB and other components. Metis SDK provides cross chain development tools to achieve seamless interaction between dual networks; METIS token will serve as the native gas token for dual chain. It is reported that the Hyperion testnet is scheduled to be launched by the end of April 2025, and the mainnet will be launched in August. Andromeda will achieve Stage 0 upgrade in the near future and plans to achieve Stage 1 goals by the end of the year.
