We are empowering our farmers to enhance livestock production by restocking animals lost to drought, promoting value addition, and ensuring access to reliable markets to drive livestock commercialisation. Our objective is to make livestock farming a viable and profitable enterprise, one that puts money in the pockets of our farmers and transforms their livelihoods. In Kibiru, Tigania West, Meru County, officially commissioned the Kibiru Beef Feedlot, a facility that will significantly boost livestock production in the region, both for local consumption and export. Additionally, we issued 10,800 title deeds to residents of the area, a move that will enable them to benefit directly from the Sh40 billion Meru Energy Park, which will offer them financial returns for the use of their land.
