Honestly the biggest miscalculation by this admin, is slapping down countries like Vietnam, who have been a huge partner in building out new manufacturing to get the US off of a Chinese dependency. That diversifies US supply chains AND erodes China’s soft power in the region. Tariffing that damages a decade of development.
