Bitcoin developer: 'Massive' robot spam emails may lead to BitcoinDev mailing list being banned by Google

According to Cointelegraph, in response to the "permanent removal" of the Bitcoin Dev mailing list by Google, Bitcoin core developer Bryan Bishop stated that the ban may have been triggered by individuals or bots conducting large-scale reports on the Bitcoin mailing list through multiple accounts. Bishop stated that this is a common tactic used by attackers to attempt to ban or censor a community, and pointed out that similar incidents often occur on YouTube, X, and TikTok. Bishop suggests that Bitcoin forums should not be limited to a specific platform, and there are several other platforms to discuss the development of Bitcoin, including GitHub and the decentralized social network Nostr.
