Nouns DAO spends $150000 to invest in canned roasted beans project, stranded, funding destination remains a mystery

On April 3rd, according to The Block, three years ago, the Nouns community approved a proposal to invest 135 ETH (approximately $150000 at the time) in a project called MOO Ø NBEANS, which planned to produce and sell high-end baked beans formulated by Sublime Butter, a handmade butter company based in the UK. However, three years have passed and the project has not produced any canned baked beans, nor is there a clear indication of where the funds have gone. Tony Ho, a supervisor at Sublime Butter, stated that the funds were never used for the company and that the company had dismissed founder Chris Mair as a director in July 2023, accusing him of fraudulently using the brand for investment fundraising. Ho further stated that the investment funds were directly transferred to Mair's personal wallet, and the whereabouts of the funds afterwards are unknown. Nouns DAO needs to take legal action to recover the funds, as these funds have never entered the company's accounts.
