A lot of the sell off in BTC this year can be contributed to equities weakness. Taken account for SPX's decline, BTC is now down less than 10% from its all time highs. This is why I think it's important to look at the two relative to each other. Especially as they are usually somewhat correlated on the higher timeframes.
