California plans to sue Trump for tariff policies, claiming they harm consumer and business interests

According to Bloomberg, California Governor Newson announced a federal lawsuit against Trump's extensive tariff measures on China, Mexico, and Canada, accusing the policy of abusing emergency powers and harming the interests of consumers and businesses in the world's fifth largest economy. The lawsuit will be filed in San Francisco federal court on Wednesday, and state prosecutor Rob Bonta will apply for an emergency injunction to prevent the tariffs from taking immediate effect.
