Jamaica is actively enhancing water access and infrastructure: ✅ Western Parishes: A 28 billion project starting May 2025 will upgrade over 65 km of pipelines in St. James, Hanover, and Westmoreland, benefiting over 250,000 residents and boosting tourism. ✅ Mandeville: The ongoing Greater Mandeville Water Supply Improvement Project is addressing water shortages by upgrading infrastructure and reducing leaks. ✅ Rural Communities: Six major projects, funded by the Caribbean Development Bank, are underway in parishes like St. Mary, Trelawny, St. Elizabeth, St. Thomas, and St. Ann, aiming to improve water access for over 38,000 Jamaicans. ✅ NWC Amnesty Programme: Over 3,200 customers have been reconnected, with more than 600 million in debt written off, restoring water access to those in need.
