BlockBeats reported that on April 20, Cynthia Lummis, the initiator of the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Act and chairman of the Senate Banking Digital Assets Subcommittee, said on CoinDesk Spotlight, "If the U.S. government uses gold vouchers whose book value is still calculated in 1974 to buy Bitcoin, we will be able to cut treasury bond in half within 20 years. We do not need to spend new capital increase of taxpayers to buy Bitcoin."
