The trading volume of cryptocurrency exchanges has fallen to a six-month low, and the proportion of spot trading has hit a new low at this stage

According to The Block, as of April 20th, the seven day average trading volume of global cryptocurrency exchanges has dropped to approximately $32 billion, the lowest since October 2024 and a drop of over 75% from the December 2024 high. In terms of the ratio of spot to futures trading, Bitcoin and Ethereum fell to 0.19 and 0.20 respectively, the lowest levels since August 2024 and December 2023. Meanwhile, Solana's trading activity has slightly increased.
