ZKsync: We are working with the security committee to gradually convert the recovered ETH into ZK tokens

Odaily Planet Daily News: The ZKsync team has released an update on the investigation into the theft of airdrop tokens that occurred on April 13, 2025. The update reveals that they are working with the security committee to explore the gradual exchange of recovered ETH into ZK tokens, and the subsequent handling will be determined through governance mechanisms. ZKsync also stated that it will revise the token plan guidelines to require all token plans to use Capped Minter V2, which will be launched in December 2024, including a pre specified end date that automatically prevents minting outside the token plan window; Deploy and conduct end-to-end testing of real-time monitoring and alert infrastructure for all on chain contracts that can access ZK tokens or protocols.
