Vitalik and StarkWare support Kakarot to launch a new Ethereum ZK solution based on STARK

According to The Block, Vitalik and Kakarot, supported by StarkWare, have announced the development of an independent Ethereum zero knowledge proof (ZK) stack, with plans to achieve real-time Layer 1 block proofs by the end of 2025. Kakarot is built on the Cairo language and uses the STARK system to avoid dependence on existing mainstream ZK technology stacks. Its aim is to enhance the diversity and system resilience of Ethereum ZK verification, and help achieve the goal of comprehensive ZKization of Ethereum by 2028.
