Eric Council Jr. is accused of conspiring to commit serious identity theft and device access fraud, which is related to the intrusion of SEC's social media accounts. Previously, the X account of the US SEC was hacked and false information was released, falsely claiming that the spot Bitcoin ETF had been approved.
