The defense lawyers in the Samourai and Tornado Cash cases accused the prosecution of concealing evidence that could prove their innocence

According to The Block, lawyers in the Samourai Wallet and Tornado Cash cases have accused prosecutors of concealing a phone call they believe may be crucial to their defense. In a phone call, senior employees of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Agency (FinCEN) hinted to government prosecutors that non custodial agreements may not qualify for money services business, which is a key element of certain allegations. The prosecutor in the Samourai case downplayed these allegations, stating that the phone call was fairly disclosed before the trial and represented the "informal personal opinion" of the employees. Previously, it was reported that the developer of Bitcoin privacy wallet Samourai Wallet rejected the allegations and requested to be denied, and the case is still in a legal deadlock.
