Sei Labs releases Sei Giga white paper, intending to become an EVM L1 blockchain that supports multiple proposers According to official announcements, Sei Labs has released the Sei Giga white paper, outlining the path for the blockchain to become a Layer 1 Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) that supports multiple proposers. This scheme adopts a parallel block proposal architecture, with main technical features including a throughput of 5 Ggas, a processing capacity of 200000 TPS, a final confirmation time of 400 milliseconds for transactions, and a newly developed EVM execution client. In terms of technical architecture, Sei Giga achieves performance breakthroughs through asynchronous state commit mechanism and Autobahn consensus protocol. While maintaining compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts, it claims to increase throughput by 50 times compared to traditional solutions. Jay Jog, co-founder of the project, stated that the design aims to meet the high-performance underlying infrastructure requirements of Web3 applications and has completed the core development phase.
