We are streamlining compensation for human-wildlife conflict to restore dignity and deliver justice to our communities on the frontline of the much-needed conservation. We are therefore allocating sufficient resources to pay pending claims, deploying technology to eliminate inefficiencies, and operationalising the Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund; a sustainable financing vehicle supported by innovative funding mechanisms. At Meru National Park, kickstarted this financial year's KSh950 million compensation payments.
