If you’re a bitcoin holder, you might want to consider reading this. Why did I choose to sell all my bitcoins? Here’s my thesis: 99% of the focus is on bitcoin right now. Headlines, articles, etc I just keep hearing "bitcoin, bitcoin, bitcoin" everywhere, especially now since it made a new all time high. If you're holding bitcoin currently, your potential gain is 20% max for the rest of this bullrun, but you could lose up to 70% of your investment which is terrible. That’s a brutal risk to reward ratio, and you deserve better. Flashback to the 2021 altcoins season, remember dogecoin? It was on every news channel, multiple times a day lol. They also talked about how great solana is, why it became an ethereum killer etc. This is the kind of attention that defines a true altcoin season, and we're not there yet but i’m convinced it’s coming soon. If you take a look at any chart against bitcoin, i can almost guarantee you it’s down 90% from the peak. Let me make this clear, bitcoin dominance dropping doesn’t mean bitcoin will go down. It simply means that altcoins outperform bitcoin for a short period of time. Long term, i will always be bullish on BTC and it will always be my number one pick. But right now, i’m playing a smarter game: selling bitcoin to stack altcoins, so i can buy more bitcoin later. Every cycle, we see the same thing all over again. BTC -> ETH -> ALTS ETH had 50% of it’s pump already, which is a clear signal that altcoins might be next. I’ve got 16 million in ethereum already which i bought at the bottom (check my older posts) so i’m not doubling down there. Instead, i invested in smaller cap altcoins between 500m and 5b market cap. Alts in this range are safer than micro caps, they’ve been around for awhile, and they have a perfect risk to reward ratio. You can expect anywhere from a 5x to a 20x which is pretty damn good, compared to only 20% with bitcoin. Even if bitcoin magically goes to $330k, it’s still only a 3x. You could buy one of the worst altcoins and still end up outperforming bitcoin, because let’s be real, everything pumps in an alt season. Big institutional players like blackrock are slowly accumulating a selected list of altcoins, so am i. The harsh truth is that you’re late on bitcoin, at least for this cycle. It went from 16k -> 112k, which is a 7x and remember that every cycle has diminishing returns. I hope you found my analysis useful.
