Singapore and France: more than partners — trusted friends! This trust dates back to the relationship that Singapore’s founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, built with France. His vision of modernity, tolerance and determination continues to inspire us. Our strategic partnership — the first that Singapore signed with a European country — spans a wide range of sectors: low-carbon energy such as nuclear, electrical connectivity, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, cybersecurity, space, aviation and defence. We are deeply proud of the trust Singapore has placed in us to train its Air Force pilots in Cazaux since 1998! Together, we have just concluded a series of important agreements that bring our countries even closer. In the face of today’s global crises and challenges, France and Singapore stand together in our belief in effective, balanced and peaceful multilateralism.
