Wintermute: After upgrading Electra, there is now a malicious contract called "CrimeEnjoyor", suspected of phishing without profit According to CoinDesk, Wintermute pointed out that since the upgrade of Ethereum Pectra to EIP-7702, a large number of malicious contracts called "CrimeEnjoyor" have emerged, attempting to scan and transfer funds by using the mechanism of users authorizing wallet permissions to smart contracts. However, the attackers have not yet profited. More than 97% of EIP-7702 authorizations point to the same copied code, suspected to be an automatic coin stealing tool. The attacker invested approximately 2.88 ETH for 79000 address authorizations, with the largest one processing over 52000 authorizations, but has not received any actual profits so far. Although this attack method did not work, it exposed security risks for EIP-7702.
