As a DRep, EMURGO has cast a “YES” vote supporting the proposed 275M ADA Budget Info Action (BIA) from Intersect. This is separate from the established 350M NCL, which serves as a maximum cap. The 275M ADA covers all of the requested budgets for the 39 project proposals that were approved in an earlier vote by DReps. For clarification, this BIA is a Cardano Constitution requirement to record funding disbursements on-chain. It does not approve the release of Treasury Funds, which must first be officially submitted as Withdrawal Actions and then be subsequently approved by at least 67% of DReps and have the support of the ICC. We feel this BIA marks a significant step, demonstrating the community’s role in a transparent multi-step Treasury Withdrawal process and reflecting Cardano’s decentralized governance structure actively in motion. All the approved budget proposals that have made it to this point have earned the support of the community, promising to deliver essential benefits across core infrastructure, branding, governance features, developer tools, and more, through their requested funding. Thus, we strongly encourage DReps to participate in assessing and casting a vote on the BIA, as this is what makes our ecosystem stand out, empowering the community to make the right decisions.
