According to BlockBeats, on June 8th, the US Department of Justice filed a civil confiscation lawsuit against over $7.74 million worth of cryptocurrency assets on June 5th, accusing the North Korean government of using a group of disguised IT workers to work remotely, obtain compensation, and launder the stablecoins they received back to North Korea to evade US sanctions and fund military programs. The cyber operation is coordinated by Sim Hyon Sop, a representative of the North Korean Foreign Trade Bank, and the FBI is currently investigating.
