I had a call with Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada. We both discussed the strengthening of our political and bilateral trade relations as well as areas of cooperation in energy transition and technological exchanges. We also agreed on the alignment of G20 and G7 topics this year. South Africa will join the G7 outreach session and continue discussions on further cooperation between the two groups that share overlapping membership and participation. South Africa will continue to work with Canada on the prevention and management of wildfires, which will enhance the existing cooperation in this regard.
