According to Sing Tao Daily, the Hong Kong Financial Development Council (HKDC) and The CityUK have signed a memorandum of understanding, stating that their cooperation will focus on areas such as financial transformation, virtual assets, and capacity building. They will also establish a cooperation framework to promote knowledge exchange in regulatory practices, innovative financial products, and emerging financial service opportunities. Earlier, UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage revealed plans to submit a new cryptocurrency bill to help the City of London innovate in cryptocurrency and establish a two-year regulatory sandbox.
