Brazilian central bank: Drex will advance the third phase pilot, focusing on improving credit quality

According to Valor, Rogerio Antonio Lucca, Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Central Bank, recently stated that the CBDC project Drex will launch its third phase in the second half of 2025, with a focus on providing guarantees through asset tokenization, allowing users to authorize banks to view their CDB, real estate, vehicles, and other assets, in order to expand loan accessibility and lower interest rates, improve financial inclusion and credit quality.
