On the "Crypto is not just speculation" meme A lot of people view trading as a form of speculating / gambling Trading is a much more fundamental primitive to society - markets are a dominant force in the world and direct much of human activity DeFi's mission of lowering the cost and barriers to creating, participating in, and accessing markets is an honorable one with potential to dramatically increase the prosperity, freedom, and human happiness Yes I work on trading infra, yes a lot of people trade dumb things - and yet I truly believe improving markets is how I can have the greatest positive impact on the world and DeFi is the best way to do that
