Last week, @Gemini lodged a complaint with the Inspector General of the @CFTC regarding the conduct of 9 lawyers in the Division of Enforcement. For 7 years, these lawyers misused their offices and millions of taxpayer dollars to engage in trophy-hunting lawfare against Gemini to advance their careers. They investigated and sued Gemini — an innocent party – to serve their personal interests even though they knew Gemini was in fact the victim of a multi-million dollar rebate fraud. In so doing, these lawyers strayed far from their mission to faithfully serve the public interest and treat market participants fairly.
